Delicious Deep Dish Pizza Dough

Sometimes it is nice to have a satisfying, deep-dish pizza dough recipe and other times a thin and crispy crust suits the toppings better. This recipe for deep-dish pizza dough is simple to make but you need to make it one day before you use it because it needs to be in the refrigerator overnight.

You can use any toppings you want on this deep-dish pizza dough. You might like to coat the dough with cheese, then add bacon, sausage, green bell pepper, fresh basil, and crushed tomatoes for example, and then top with mozzarella and parmesan. Deep-dish pizza is very filling and great served piping hot.

Deep Dish Pizza Crust

Ingredients -

¼ cup vegetable oil
1 cup warm water
1 package active dry yeast (1/4 oz)
2 cups all purpose flour

Preparation:

Mix the warm oil; yeast and water then fold in the flour.

Roll the dough into a ball and place in an oiled bowl.

Refrigerate overnight.

Bring to room temperature and use to coat the base and sides of an oiled deep-dish pizza pan. Cover with a cloth and let rise for 30 minutes at room temperature.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Remove the cloth and add some toppings.

Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, until the crust is golden brown on the edges.
